Yuva
Eco
Holiday Center
Faralya - Fethiye

Yuva Eco-Holiday
Centre is in an area known as Faralya, a rural community of 500
people dispersed along several kilometres of quiet mountainside
and forest. Here the western escarpment of the Toros range plunges
directly into the sea, creating an area of Homeric beauty. Olive,
citrus, carob trees and pinewoods surround the area. Much of the
forest is protected as a nature reserve and there is a feeling of
peace and safety.

Accommodation
- At Yuva,
among 40 acres of protected pine forest, the
accommodation is basic and practical. We blend the
benefits of modern conveniences with the character of
four village-style dwellings.
- These
are rustic traditional Anatolian style houses, built of
natural materials such as cedar wood, stone, mud and
straw. Each building has two spacious twin or double
bedded rooms, overlooking the bay.
- In
addition there are 4 basic single log cabins.
- Bedding
is made of pure Turkish cotton.
- All
rooms have an ensuite shower and toilet, with hot water
supplied by Solar Energy. The double/twin rooms offer
spectacular views of the Mediterranean.

LYCIAN WAY
It is 500 km
long and stretches from Fethiye to Antalya, around part of
the coast of ancient Lycia. It is waymarked with red and
white stripes, the Grande Randonnee convention.
The path follows
the 1500 mt. high Tahtali mountain with a route winds along
mule paths on steep hillsides overlooking the depths of the
sea - turqoise in the shadows, indigo or deep green further
out.
Tiny gulets chug
past far below, birds (or even paragliders) wheel far above.
Cyclamen and
other bulbs peep from dark corners; the scent of thyme fills
the air. Villagers live a laid back life, farming honey and
herbs, following the goats to pasture or working in the
holiday villages of Fethiye.
